Information You Submit
When you use a search form, the name, phone number, or address you enter goes to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Our servers do not retain a separate copy of that search. If you send us a message, we receive the information you choose to provide and use it to answer you.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting systems may create routine logs that contain an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. Aggregate log data helps us maintain the site and see which resources visitors use. Cookies or similar tools may also support basic analytics and advertising measurement where applicable.
How We Use the Data
The limited data described above supports site operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and page improvements. We do not sell visitor lists or create profiles about individual users.
Links to Outside Services
Johnston County People Search links to government portals, North Carolina and Johnston County records offices, library collections, and third-party tools. Information sent to an outside site is controlled by that site's privacy terms, not this policy. The same is true for sponsored search results supplied by a third party.
When Data May Be Shared
Companies that host or support the site may process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising providers may receive the automatic information already described. We may disclose available data in response to valid legal process, but we do not otherwise share visitor information.
Safeguarding Your Data
An encrypted connection delivers the site. Server logs are kept only for as long as the stated purposes require. Because the site has no user accounts, it does not hold an account password or personal profile for you.
Visitors Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. Contact us if you believe a minor submitted personal information, and we will remove it.
Your Privacy Choices
Your location may give you rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data held by a website. As of the July 28, 2026 research date, official sources did not identify a comprehensive North Carolina consumer privacy law comparable to California's broad statute. Record-specific protections still apply, including limits for vital records, voter fields, protected addresses, and motor vehicle data. We can check our contact mailbox and available server logs for your information. Use the Contact page for that request. Records held by Johnston County or North Carolina agencies remain outside our control. Requests concerning an official record must go to its custodian under applicable law, including N.C.G.S. Chapter 132 where relevant.
Changes to This Policy
Any revised policy will be posted here. Your continued use after an update signifies acceptance of the new version.
